MUA Mega Volume Mascara//Beauty

MUA is a brand you either love or loathe, for me I personally really like the brand, but had never gone any further than really buying the neutral eye shadow palettes and giving the highlighter a try. So on a trip to Superdrug, I was in desperate need of a cheap mascara just to last me a few days. So I picked up the MUA Mega Volume Mascara which was all of £3.

MUA Claim- 'This is the perfect mascara to add length with the first application and glamorous volume with the second. And by using the waterproof shade for those cold windy and rainy mornings will guarantee you long lasting full lashes without smearing! This style of brush is made of rubber, with tiny little teeth evenly spaced along the head - perfect for separation and definition'

After two applications and curling my eyelashes it did not give me glamour volume like it claims or like my other mascaras I use (The Falsies and Benefits They're Real). It made them look rather lifeless

Before application (excuse my rather untidy brows)

After two applications- not very glamour huh?

The Mascara brush, has rubber bristles which I love it doesn't leave my lashes clumpy or the brush. But it still didn't give me that glamours look I was after.

For £3 what did I expect? I will continue using it but it doesn't give my lashes a full and glamorous look like it claims.

Have you guys tried the MUA mascara and what do you think of it?

MakeUp Academy (MUA) Undress Your Skin Highlighter Review!

What does a girl do when they run out of highlighter? Try a new one out!!

I've heard some good things about the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter and for £3 its an absolute steal! MUA is typically found in Superdrug, if your unfortunate enough not to have Superdrug you can order online from MUA here!!

For those who are unaware of the brand MUA, it's a very inexpensive drugstore product and is only sold at Superdrug. Most of their products range for £1-£6- nice and cheap! But the quality of these products are extremely high. MUA has always been my go to brand for inexpensive eye-shadow palettes which you can read about here! So it wasn't a surprise when I started seeing bloggers rave about their Undress Your Skin Highlighter.

This highlighter is a beautiful shimmery champagne colour. For £3 you get a hell of a lot of product, compared to others make-up brands! This highlighter I would only recommend using on the top of your cheekbone, it has a pink shimmer to it which would look rather odd if placed on the bridge of your nose, above your lip bow or inner forehead. Just stick to the cheeks!

It was so difficult to get a good picture of the highlighter.

Overall I really cannot complain about this product, for £3 its so good, although the packaging is a little cheap looking, the product certainly makes up for it!

Have any of you used this highlighter? If so what are your thoughts?

Benefit POREfessional

As you may or may not know, I'm a bit of a Benefit virgin, until recently (See here Bristol Blogger meet!!!)
I was lucky enough to be given some samples of the POREfessional and I have been converted.
I've never been big in the primer game and just used the MUA primer, which compared to POREfessional is pretty basic.

POREfessional claims to minimise pores and fine lines; I noticed instantly it dramatically minimised my pores and left my skin feeling super soft and my skin looked great with just the POREfessional on!!
Unlike my MUA primer, my foundation lasts all day, with just a touch up of powder in the afternoon to reduce the shine. You can use POREfessional as a base for your foundation or it can be used once you've applied your make-up.
Even after a long day out, my makeup still looks near perfect. My makeup is simply staying put, no sliding off, no colour fading, no settling into creases and lines of the face during the day!
I've found a new product to add to my make-up bag,
Permanently!!!

POREfessional comes in a retro looking tube, with a screw top. This looks perfect on anyone's dressing table.

The POREfessional retails at £25, I get it, it is pricey but I totally recommend it!!

What are your favourite primers?
Have you used POREfessional? and what do you think of it?

Rimmel Apocalips Review

Personally I'm all about a statement lip, me and eyeshadows, just don't get along.
Recently I discovered the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer.
I've fallen hard for these beauties.
I've read great things about these must have lip products, and I'm so glad I jumped on the bandwagon.
This is 100% not a gloss. Rimmel are true too their words when they say its a 'Lip Lacquer', because it is so pigmented and its staying power is immense.
The colour last for hours, and you're lips look full and the colour looks freshly applied (even though really you applied a few hours ago.)
I bought the colours Big Bang (400) and Celestial (101)
Celestial is a perfect colour for everyday wear and gives your lips a lovely dusky pink finish and Big Bang is perfect for that statement party lip. I'm a HUGE fan of a red lip so for my it's perfect!!
The packaging looks expensive for a £5.99 product.
Overall I am impressed with this product and will be adding more to my collection.

There are a few negatives about the product, the doe-foot applicator is slightly clumsy, doesn't quite give a even finish, I tend to rub in with my fingers after I've applied! The lacquer does tend to gather around the top of the applicator as well.
Also the smell isn't great reminds me of Play Doh! But like me if you can see past that, then it's such a great product.

Have you tried Apocalips?  and what do you think of it???

Review: MUA Undress Me Palette

This little gem has made its way into my make-up kit.
Skeptical at first, but I decided to take the plunge into the MUA counter.

This gorgeous array of  autumn/winter colours are f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s  for keeping it subtle & natural, but also great for rockin that smokey eye.
Swear it's makeups best loved eye look EVER.

This collection of little beauties come at a incrediable price at just £4.99 (still can't get over the price).

The shadows are super pigmentated and have great staying power. Although this could be thanks to my MAC Painterly Pot!!!!
If you're looking for a reasonable palette this is perfect!
It has a great range of colours suitable for every occasion.

This has now become my everyday palette.

I'm in love

Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara: Review & Maybeline Baby Lips review.

So all week, I have been wearing my lovely Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara!! And it's fair to say it does what it says on the box!! All week I have been sat in my office for 7 hours a day, typing away one minute, being hot and cold and then going out in this absurd British weather (one minute it's raining, then windy and then sunny). Whilst doing all that I have constantly had my glasses on. The mascara has stayed put and no more panda eyes for me!!!!!
I'm so pleased with it, I was dubious at first but I think this little character will be having a permanent spot in my make-up kit!!

Seriously though girls (and boys) if you're fed up of your mascara bleeding down up eyes after a hard day at work/school or even on a night out, this mascara is deffo worth a purchase, at £12.00 you can't go wrong and I guarantee once you've purchased it, it will also be a permanent feature in your make-up bag.
Start of the day.

End of the day (I look tired and annoyed)

So i'm going from a excellent products to quite frankly a poor product. I recently purchased the Maybeline Baby Lips, in this gorgeous Cherry Red colour. It looks cool, and smells divine. But it's so poorly pigmented. I applied it and hardly any colour showed on my lips, and it didn't taste very nice, there was no cherry taste at all. I'm really disappointed with this products.

Such a lush colour, shame it doesn't come out!!!!!!!
