Melt proof your make-up

We all know summer and going out partying is a nightmare for our faces, when your half way through a night out and you go to check your make-up to see that your face has melted off.
I've put together some types to help you keep your make-up flawless and melt-proof.

Prime time
This is the most commonly skipped step in most peoples make-up routine!! A make up primer can make such a difference when it comes to lasting colour. Pop a pea sized amount on before you apply your foundation!!
My favourite Primer at the moment is..... Benefit Make-up Primer, retailing at £24.50. Which claimes to have 15 hours of colour!
Hold Fast Powder
During these summer months, you may not like applying heavy make-up, but using a loose translucent powder, could just become your new BBFL (Best Bud for life). Using a large brush, apply a light dusting over the top of your look, to stop it from budging!!
My Favourite and one I've mentioned loads of times in my blog is Rimmel London Match Perfection Loose Powder. I love this powder!!!!

The Right Base
For a melt proof make-up look, you need a good base! If you have oily skin you're best to choose a mattifying foundation to prevent your make-up from budging. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation is a great foundation for those with oily skin and is a great price at £5.99.
If you don't have oily skin, opt for a silicone- based foundation. This will provide a film across your skin and stop your make-up from slipping off when the weather is humid. My pick is the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation which retails at £21.50

Mascara Meltdown
Waterproof mascara is a must in this hot, sticky weather. Keep your lashes from running down your face with MAC Splash Proof Mascara (£14.00). It's great when worn on it own. It gives a strong waterproof seal.

Lushious, Long Lasting Lips
Just like your skin, your lips need some TLC to. So to get them prepped, by using Lushs Lip scrub in bubblegum (my fave) which retails at £5.50. Once you finished using the lip scrub add a bit of lip balm to give your lips a bit of moisture. For colour I'm loving the elf lip stain (£2.50). A lip stain is better in the summer if you want a natural long lasting colour.
