Last Post Of 2013!!

2013 has well and truly been a whirlwind, going from being a journalism student to the dizzy heights of full time employment which has been an adjustment i'm still not use too,
get me back to 99p jager bombs!!
2013 has consisted of all nighters in the uni libraries, waving goodbye to old friends and saying hello to new, laughing, crying and just general awesomeness!!!

Life has now suddenly been based in Bristol rather than good ole Bath!!
Things in 2013 that I'm 100% going to miss (Uni times) but 2014 is looking so promising already, such as:
One Direction Where We Are Tour at Wembley Stadium.
Travelling Europe with my girl Lisa
Manic weekends away (mainly London)

I hope you all have an amazing New Year and all your dreams come true (fingers crossed for Harry Styles HA!)
Whatever your plans are for tomorrow evening have fun and enjoy

Lots Of Love

Lush Haul

A few weeks ago, we had our boiler restored in our house Alas hot water!!!
So I decided to pop in the Lush store in Bristol and just treat myself to a couple of festive shower companions. I love Lush, one the products are great and secondly they don't test on animals which makes it so much more appealing to me!!!

First of all I purchased the Snow Fairy shower gel!!! The smell is to die for. Literally. This is a limited edition Christmas shower gel and my gosh, I literally could eat it, the smell is so sweet smells like Candyfloss.
Its a bright vibrant pink, which makes it extremely girlie.

I also purchased a sweet little Santa scrub called Sandy Santa. This is packed with murumuru butter and shea butter. Sandy Santa is a body butter & sugar scrub, it claims to give you a moisturising affect and smooth and polish your skin at the same time.
I'm excited to use this!!!!

Last but by no least is the Bubblegum lip scrub. I did purchase the Christmas version of the lip scrub and really didn't like it as much as the bubblegum one. This is my favourite product from Lush and a product i continually buy.

Rimmel Apocalips Review

Personally I'm all about a statement lip, me and eyeshadows, just don't get along.
Recently I discovered the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer.
I've fallen hard for these beauties.
I've read great things about these must have lip products, and I'm so glad I jumped on the bandwagon.
This is 100% not a gloss. Rimmel are true too their words when they say its a 'Lip Lacquer', because it is so pigmented and its staying power is immense.
The colour last for hours, and you're lips look full and the colour looks freshly applied (even though really you applied a few hours ago.)
I bought the colours Big Bang (400) and Celestial (101)
Celestial is a perfect colour for everyday wear and gives your lips a lovely dusky pink finish and Big Bang is perfect for that statement party lip. I'm a HUGE fan of a red lip so for my it's perfect!!
The packaging looks expensive for a £5.99 product.
Overall I am impressed with this product and will be adding more to my collection.

There are a few negatives about the product, the doe-foot applicator is slightly clumsy, doesn't quite give a even finish, I tend to rub in with my fingers after I've applied! The lacquer does tend to gather around the top of the applicator as well.
Also the smell isn't great reminds me of Play Doh! But like me if you can see past that, then it's such a great product.

Have you tried Apocalips?  and what do you think of it???
