Haul Time

Payday is my favourite kind of day (isn't it everyone's?
So I hit the High Street to stock on some much needed essentials and some not so essentials.
Superdrug was first and I decided to break my Sleek Virginity and indulge in the Sleek counter.
I've heard great things about this cheap, popular brand so it was only right I decided to give it a go.

From Sleek I bought the 'Storm Palette'. I was a little annoyed by the fact there was no open palettes so I could have a look at the colours, so I was buying the palette totally blind. Also it doesn't have the names of the colours on the back either (which also annoyed me).
I also decided to buy a blush to, as I needed a new blush and thought this was a great opportunity to buy a new one, I went for the colour Flamingo (637), it look really scary from the palette but I did have a quick try of it and it's not as bright and gives a nice colour on the cheeks.

My favourite buy from Superdrug though has to be the Rimmel Apocalips
OMG
I went for the colour Bang Bang (400), as I adore my red lip colours, & this certainly doesn't disappoint.
I did a quick try when I got it home and this is i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e I kind you not this is now my favourite lip product to date (I haven't even tried it out properly yet!!!!!
I can totally see why so many people are raving about it!!!!
Go and and buy it NOW!!!!!

I then went onto Boots to pick up some skin care goodies for my skin,
I purchased Botanics Hydrating Day Cream SPF15 All Bright & the Botanics Hydrating Night Cream All Bright.
I always use SPF in my moisturisers and also in my foundation.
No one wants leather looking skin when they're old!!!

I also decided to change my cleanser to and bought a new product which Nivea have bought out called Nivea Soothing Cleansing Mousse.
So I'm excited to us it

I will review this products within the next few weeks, to let you know what I think of them!!

Those Luxe Products

As you are aware, I'm one of the biggest supporters of High Street makeup brands, but there comes a time when a girl needs a little luxury, am I right??

Yes I get it these little luxury products can cost a bloomin' fortune, but deep down inside we are squirming with delight that we have just purchased the must have designer products.

So i'm going to share with you my favourites which I have in my collection and ones which i'm trying to decide whether i want to part with the money!!!

MAC- I own a lot of MAC makeup whilst some people say its 100% High Street, I disagree. MAC is expensive and defiantly burns a hole in our banks accounts, only just recently i bought 4 items which ended up costing me £90!!!! MAC is high end but I adore it.
So my favourite products I have from MAC are:

Cranberry and Sketch Eye-shadows!
MAC Painterly Pot
MAC Spalshproof Mascara

My most loved luxe lipstick of all time at the moment is my Chanel Coco Rouge lipstick in the colour Monte Carlo.
I'm obsessed and wear it constantly at £25, its expensive but totally worth it!!!!
If you're after a expensive lippy, I urge you to try Chanel!!

YSL Touche Ecclat, Is a favourite of mine, been using it for a while now and I just love it, literally brightens up my face when i'm having a grey day or just extremely tired and maybe slightly hungover.  Big love to YSL.

Luxury items I'm lusting over right now and need are:

YSL lip stain- Mainly because I love Cara Delevinge.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer

Let me know your favourite luxury make up products and what do you think of mine?

No7 Brush Cleanser Review:

I'm really lazy when it come to cleaning my make up brushes & I'm always looking for that quick fix.
& I think I have found it.........
Boots No7 Brush Cleanser.
Ok I know you're probably wondering what's so great about it??
Well let me tell you.
I've been using this for around about a month now and it's fabulous. It cost £8.00 so not expensive.

Displaying 20131124_135205.jpg

It's perfect for a quick fix, especially if you don't have time too soak your brushes (like me).
It's so simple to use, you squirt a bit of the cleanser onto a cotton pad, tissues or a flannel and simply brush your brushes across the pad and see all that excess makeup come clean off!
I love it!!

November Obsessions

My November obsessions
Enjoy!!

The pumps are put away back into the shoe cupboard and the ankle boots are out. I'm obsessing over cute ankle boots at the moment & my cut out boots have been a statement piece when putting together my autumn outfits together, paired with ankle grazers, skater skirts or dresses these boots look chic especially with some cute girly frilly socks
*to keeps those toes snug*

Topshop

Faux fur headbands, I'm loving these gorgeous head pieces at the moment, they can make a outfit look causal or classy. Nothing says Hello winter than a faux fur headband.
 Major lusting right now!!!

Again Tartan has been a big statement in my autumn wardrobe, from scarves to trousers. Tartan has slapped autumn/winter round the face this season & I'm in L-O-V-E.
But lets make it clear OTT tartan is NOT ok!!!!

Of course my obsession with red lips has become even BIGGER now that it is the season of partaaaays
Time bring out glitz n glam
&
Smother them lips with delicious berry reds!!

Whats In My Make Up Bag......

I thought it was about time I gave you a peek into my everyday makeup bag.
So i'm going to show you my everyday make up items.
Enjoy!!!

My make-up bag is Cath Kidston. Love the designs of her bags and you just wipe off make up if you spill any on *Winner*.

Real Techniques brushes have become a great additions to my make up collection. These brushes are perfect if you're on a budget, there really well priced and are such great brushes and will be a permanent feature in your make up bags.
I also have two MAC eye brushes at £25 a brush they are not the cheapest and to be honest I prefer my Real Techniques eye shadow brush.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation- This is a fairly new product to my make-up bag, as I have been a slave to Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse for years. I love how great this products is for a high street foundation. Leave me skin looking gorgeous and has such a great finish. I also use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, again has great coverage and is great for a high street concealer.
Rimmell Stay Matte Powder- This powder has been my best friend, I have quite oily skin, so it gives my
 T-zone a non-oily look.

I adore lipsticks and prefer them to lip-gloss, as I usually get my hair stuck to my lips *not a good look*. But these are the main lip products I'm using at the moment. I love using matte lipsticks and I love my red and purple lipsticks for autumn/winter. These lipsticks from L-R One Direction Kiss You Lipstick *Sorry not sorry*, Topshop in the colour Wicked, Chanel in the colour Monte Carlo, Maybeline in the colour Ravishing Rogue and then my Topshop Lip Crayon in the colour Wicked as well. I have a obsession with that colour.

Other important pieces in my make up bag are. My Mac eyeshadows in Cranberry and Sketch key colours for a autumn/fall smokey eye.

MUA I have two pieces from the MUA collection which are the Undress me eyeshadow palette swoon....... & the Bittersweet creme blush. Both products are under £5.00 and both are
 I-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e
Both products are highly pigmented
I can't rave about them enough. If you get the chance to buy any products from MUA
DO IT!!!

Maybeline the falsie mascara is my go to mascara, have been using it for years and it's hands down the best High Street mascaras.
Another mascara I use is the MAC Spalshproof, this is the only waterproof I use and own, I bought this to take on holiday with me. Wearing it in 50 degrees heat for a week, it worked wonders and didn't budge.
For my bottom lashes I use the Clinque bottom lash mascara. This is designed for those little lashes, it's smudge proof and the wand is tiny so you can those pesky little lashes!!
YSL Touche Ecclat is my best friend especially when I have dreaded bags under my eyes, keeps me looking fresh and wide awake.
My eyebrow pencil is from MUA *shock*

Money savers!

Like most girls I love spending my hard earn cash on luxe make up products!!
Everyone needs a little luxury in their life right??
But having been a student for the last 3 years I've learnt that price doesn't necessarily  mean greatness. I still have stuck by some of my 'cheaper' beauty products and these are the ones i'm still loving!!!
Ssssshhhhh there all £5.00 or under!!!!!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

There is no secret that this is one of the best loved powders on the High Street.
With beauty bloggers such as Tanya Burr, Zoella etc raving about it
and I'm raving about it too.
& at £3.99 it's a beauty must have!!!!

Collection 2000 Super Size Mascara
I picked this mascara up on a win.
I was in desperate need of a mascara. This was cheap at £2.99, I wasn't expecting it to be amazing......
But I love it, deffo worth investing in if you're after a cheap but effective mascara.
It lengthen and separates your lashes making them look
f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s.

Barry M nail polish

These polishes have been best friends with my nails for a good few years now.
I can never resist a Barry M polish.
At £3.99 a pot it's obvious to see why they are so popular

MUA Palette

Ok ok ok, I've can't stop raving about this palette (sorry).
But at £4.99 it is a absolute steal.
It's super pigmented and the colours are to die for.
If your in Superdrug, I urge you to buy it,
You will not regret it!!!!!!!

A Gift From Glamour!

No girl can resist a freebie right??
Especially when it comes in the shape of a Nails Inc polish.
British Glamour Magazine 'A girls best friend and style/makeup guru'  has treated us ladies to a Nails Inc polish designed by Kate Spade
I chose the 'New York Noir'  and fell in love with it once on.
I've been recieveing lots of compliments on this gorgeous colour, it's glossy and 4 days of wear it hasn't chipped.

Review: MUA Undress Me Palette

This little gem has made its way into my make-up kit.
Skeptical at first, but I decided to take the plunge into the MUA counter.

This gorgeous array of  autumn/winter colours are f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s  for keeping it subtle & natural, but also great for rockin that smokey eye.
Swear it's makeups best loved eye look EVER.

This collection of little beauties come at a incrediable price at just £4.99 (still can't get over the price).

The shadows are super pigmentated and have great staying power. Although this could be thanks to my MAC Painterly Pot!!!!
If you're looking for a reasonable palette this is perfect!
It has a great range of colours suitable for every occasion.

This has now become my everyday palette.

I'm in love

My Ultimate Party Kit

Christmas is rapidly approaching and the party season is upon us.
And I love every aspect of it.
Over indulging in food, chocolate and alcohol.
The cosy nights in,
and the glamming up for all those festive parties.
So I've put together my Christmas must have beauty products, to keep you looking Fab this Christmas!

Maybeline Baby Lips-
I've finally found what everyone else has been raving about. When I first bought this I was't the greatest fan! But this is quite possibly the coolest and yummiest lip balm EVER! (a girl can never have to many lip balms! Am I right?)

Benefit They're Real!!!-
This mascara is just wow!
This mascara is a constant best seller.
It gives your lashes a boost making them looker darker, sexier and plumper.
Who needs false lashes when you can have them in a tube??

Urban Fudge Dry Shampoo-
This can of deliciousness is a must, during the festive season,
Keeping your hair in tip top condition and looking sleak at all times!!!
The perfect companion to have during those hair days,
inbetween washes!!!

MAC Cranberry-
My must have festive eye shadow, this is being raved about loads at the moment!
This is going to be my go to eye-shadow for the party season.
Love it!

St Moriz Fake Tan

During my student days, I lived by this fake tan (and still do)
Being a poor uni student I couldn't afford the luxe fake tanners such as St Tropez (don't think its that great anyway).
But we still want to enhance our summer tans and make them stay a little longer.
So fake it!!!

Essie A-List
As the festive period is edging closer, it's time to get our nails into the spirit and what better than a raunchy red.
Essies A-List is a perfect red for those festive parties or just for spicing up your work outfit.

Wrap It Up

Those cold days mean cool coats Yay.
&
The High street is full of glamorous, stylish and chic coats
Here is a few of my favourite to keep the chill at bay.

H&M £49.99

CHECKED COAT
Zara £149.99

I'm loving check/taran print at the moment and these are two of my favourite. Trying to decided which one to purchase though
Help??

Image 1 of NYLON ANORAK from Zara
Zara £109

Barbour- I'm a massive fan of Barbour and have been wearing their coats for the past 5 years. They have a classic English heritage look about them.
Right now I'm loving the Vintage Beadnell Wax Jacket.
It's on the Christmas list!!!

Ok I know this isn't a high street coat. But i'm in love with this Burberry trench, but at £1,895 Burberry can keep it until I win big!
A gal can dream eh?

Sunday Splurge

It's dull, grey and rainy here in Bristol.
So what better to do than go shopping! I decided I needed some new shower/ hair products this time as I was running low on my essentials.
What else is a girl to do when it's raining??

I bought the Neutrogen Visibly Clear 2-in-1. I tend to use this face wash a lot &
its perfect!!
It can be used as a day-to-day face wash but can also be used as a face mask. I'm a huge fan of face masks and always try to do one at least once a week.
So this is idea for me!

Next are my VO5 extra hold 'weather resistant' hairspray and VO5 Plump It Up amplifying blow dry lotion.
I mean who doesn't protect their hair from the heat when drying it??
Guilty.
Someone handcuff me and throw away the keys!!
I'm useless at protecting my hair, hence why I bought this blow dry lotion, so I'm excited to use it and see if it makes a difference.
The Hairspray claims to be 'weather' resistant' but we shall see!!

My final product is the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Treatment Masque.
Like I said I'm useless at protecting my hair and looking after it. So I decided to buy this to keep my hair nourished and shiny.
It was a steal at £2.95 so fingers crossed. It makes my hair feel and look good.

Have any of you guys tried any of these products?? and what do you think of them??

Christmas Chic!

As Christmas is quite literally around the corner. I decided to start getting into the Christmassy spirit (That's not even a word) & what better way than with Lush's Santa's Lip Scrub
This little pot of scrumptious cola scrub.
It is quite frankly
A-m-a-z-i-n-g.

This little pot of scrub, taste like cola cubes and is covered in little red hearts and makes your lips look and feel delicious!!

This is the second time I have used Lush's Lip Scrub and I really rate them. I love using them in the morning and night and smothering my lips with Vaseline to keep them hydrated!!! They are fairly reasonably priced at £5.99.

Have you guys used any of the lip scrubs?? If so whats your favourite??
