Music to me......

Alters my mood depending on the song, it has such a influence and a big importance in my life. I like to think my life has a soundtrack. Since turning the age of 22, my 'life song' for this year has been Taylor Swifts 22 (for obvious reasons). When i'm feeling down or unhappy, I put a really loud and infectious song on and instantly my mood is lifted. I have the most strangest music taste, I don't stick to one genre. My iTunes ranges from Drake, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, One Direction, 2 Chainz, Ed Sheeran etc. I don't get how people can only stick to one genre and not open their minds and ears to others.
I've decided to do my top 10 songs which i'm listening to at the moment!!

  • Jason Mraz- I'm yours
  • Kim wilde- Kids In America
  • Katy Perry- Roar
  • One Direction- Rock Me
  • Oasis-Wonderwall
  • Jason Derulo feat 2Chainz- Talk Dirty.
  • Avicii- You Make Me
  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis- Same Love (ADORE this song)
  • Ellie Goulding- Burn
  • Sub Focus- Turn It Around.

Mulberry FW

It's fair to say i'm still lusting over London Fashion Week (LFW) and still obsessing over the Mulberry  show!!!

Mulberry, went with a spring grunge look. The woman took on a more gritter edge this season. Make-up artist Mathias Van Hoof, gave the eyes a wash  of glossy grey and overloaded the eyelashes.

Mulberry has become a favourite with celebrities, the powerful, British brand, has inspired many and has been the must have arm candy.
This collection is the last for creative director Emma Hill. She's been the creative flare for Mulberry for the past six years. Showcasing classic and British designs throughout the collections and spring/summer 2014 was no different.
This years collection was a Sixties London and the English countryside theme. The clothes were beautifully tailored with floral prints mixed with navy leather. The pastel colours, gave the show a very spring like feel. And of course, there were the iconic bags that had Mulberry fans jumping about to get a glimpse of these iconic bag: the Kensal, the Willow and of course the famous Bayswater in grey and white jacquard, summer blue velvety calf and midnight-blue nuback stripe.
Of course model of the moment and Mulberrys leading lady Cara Delevingne opened this classic show as if she was walking in a dream-like English fairy-tale......Elegant and effortless. Cara gracefully walked down the catwalk in a beautiful tailored floral suit , her make-up flawless and natural and defiently looked like a English rose.
Another popular feature of the show was the British Bulldog Turbo, who of course wore Mulberry. The show had a very patriotic feel, showcasing this beautiful British countryside-esque clothing.

Beauty Product of the Week.......

This week I'm loving Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Touche Eclat Concealer. I've always lusted over this product and jumped at the opportunity to purchase this product when a local designer department store was having a 20% off on all make-up.

This is a very popular luxury highlighter around and is favourited by many beauty editors. It retails for around £20 but totally worth it! It's best known as a highlighter and eye brightener.

There are many pros for this luxury product, it's creamy, moisturising and weightless. It doesn't even feel like you're wearing it!! It really brightens up my face and has light reflecting pigments which makes your eyes and face appear brighter and fresh looking. And its allegedly the best skin brighter on the market to date!!! So why else wouldn't you want to purchase it?
The only negative I can think of for this product is the price tag, it's not the cheapest highlighter, but it's worth it and once you've tried it, you won't be without it again.
Many buy the product believing it is a concealer, this is not a concealer and is no good as a concealer as it would just empathise your blemishes and spots which is not what we want!!!

If you're looking for a luxury highlighter then this is the one.

I have tartan fever!!!

Working in the centre of Bristol is a nightmare. So many shops and today Zara enticed me in. I only purchased one item which was good for me!!!
So I purchased this tartan/plaid t-shirt with a cute peter pan collar! It caught my eye straight away and  I instantly loved it. This is great for wearing casually and you can dress it up for a evening.
Whilst browsing in Zara and saw so many incredible pieces and fell head over heels for a pair of tartan trouser, which is next on my shopping list.

Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara: Review & Maybeline Baby Lips review.

So all week, I have been wearing my lovely Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara!! And it's fair to say it does what it says on the box!! All week I have been sat in my office for 7 hours a day, typing away one minute, being hot and cold and then going out in this absurd British weather (one minute it's raining, then windy and then sunny). Whilst doing all that I have constantly had my glasses on. The mascara has stayed put and no more panda eyes for me!!!!!
I'm so pleased with it, I was dubious at first but I think this little character will be having a permanent spot in my make-up kit!!

Seriously though girls (and boys) if you're fed up of your mascara bleeding down up eyes after a hard day at work/school or even on a night out, this mascara is deffo worth a purchase, at £12.00 you can't go wrong and I guarantee once you've purchased it, it will also be a permanent feature in your make-up bag.
Start of the day.

End of the day (I look tired and annoyed)

So i'm going from a excellent products to quite frankly a poor product. I recently purchased the Maybeline Baby Lips, in this gorgeous Cherry Red colour. It looks cool, and smells divine. But it's so poorly pigmented. I applied it and hardly any colour showed on my lips, and it didn't taste very nice, there was no cherry taste at all. I'm really disappointed with this products.

Such a lush colour, shame it doesn't come out!!!!!!!

Autumn/Fall Haul

Well its beginning to look a lot like autumn/winter/fall. The temperature has dropped, the rain is falling. So what a great excuse to start buying your winter wardrobe.

Make-up
Clinque bottom lash mascara
So I have decided to add a new little product into my makeup bag, which is the Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara. I love wearing mascara on my bottom lashes! And makes my eyes look more glamours, but I always end up with panda eyes by the end of the night!! This snazzy little product claims that it's smudge proof! So fingers crossed there are no more little accidents. I'm going to wear it to work tomorrow, then do a little blog on it to let ya know what I think. So this retails at £12.00 and has a really cute design on the tube and its so cute and tiny so perfect to carry around with you.
I'm excited to try this.

Clothes!
I'm not a regular Miss Selfridge customer, but went in there on the off chance. I wanted a cute and girly jumper for work, and found this beautiful jumper in the SALE section. Result. I love love love it!!! Its smart and classy and i received plenty of compliments on it already!! Only issue I keep catching my hair in the gold detailing, which makes the jumper look gorgeous  but not exactly practical. So this was originally £40.00 but I got it for £20.00. Bargain.

Detailing on the pockets and collar.

Next item I purchased were these cut out boots from Newlook and a steal at £27.00. Cut out boots have become really popular and seem to be the boot of the season, with the likes of Cara Delevinge wearing them and Alexa Chung etc. I was pleasantly surprised when I spotted them, I'm usually a huge fan Topshop boots, but couldn't resist these!!!

Last but by no means least is my new amazing Topshop denim jacket. This is my favourite purchase. Ok it cost £60.00 but so worth it and what a great jacket to wear into Autumn/winter. It's lined with white wool material and it keeps you so snug! Again I have received so many compliments on this and also noticed a certain famous boy-band members sister wearing this jacket (Gemma Styles).

Sibling time: Harry Styles leaves the House Of Holland fashion show with Nick Grimshaw, Kelly Osbourne and his older sister
We clearly have good taste!!

I'll do a blog tomorrow, on how well The Bottom Lash Mascara lasted!!!

Autumn/Winter wish list from Zara!!

This season I'm loving Zara, so I've put together some of my must have items!!!! Enjoy.......

Turtlenecks are set to big key piece in our Autumn/Winter wardrobes. Yes i know Turtlenecks really?? when i think of them i picture a sophisticated librarian, in over sized glasses, pointed heels and pencil skirt!! All three elements are fine, but on their own!! If you want to wear a turtleneck without the geek cliche, I would pair a turtle neck with a fun patterned skater skirt.

Zara £45.99.

Zara £35.99

Zara has got some beautiful statement pieces in this season and i'm loving this gorgeous coat, it's very Eleanor Calder-esque. And it will 100% keep you warm this winter.

Zara £89.99

Eleanor Calder

Leather is set continue into autumn/winter, we've been rocking leather all summer with shorts, skater skirts, leather collared shirts etc, and it's not going anywhere.
I'm loving this leather pencil skirt, its classy and you could get away with wearing it in the office and on a night out. It's pricey but for a decent garment you would expect to pay that much.

Zara £79.99

Tartan Tease!

With Autumn/Winter coming in, the streetlight is full of classic prints. So I've decided to take a look at my favourite print at the moment which is............. Tartan
I will be marching straight down the high-street to kit my wardrobe out in  jacket, trouser and dresses.
So here is a few of my favourite pieces from this years trend!!!!!

Commonly linked to Scotland and the kilt, but not anymore!!!! Tartan has been a big trend this season, with it slowly coming into autumn/winter it's defiently making it's way into my wardrobe. Tartan is most commonly known as 'Plaid' in America.
Red Pattern (Red) Red Tartan Check Skater Skirt | 290939269 | New Look
Newlook £17.99
Red Pattern (Red) Parisian Red Tartan Pinafore Playsuit | 295791869 | New Look
Newlook £22.99 (love this so cute!!)
Check tote bag
Tartan Tote, Mango £39.99
Plaid slim-fit trousers
Mango £44.99

Tartan is a statement pattern, so if you're going to rock a pair of tartan trouser, go simple with a top, you don't want to look like a tartan mess or a sight for sore eyes!!! One statement tartan piece is enough to rock at one time!!!!

She is at it again

So after a mad few weeks Miley Cyrus has shocked the world AGAIN!!! The release of her new song 'Wrecking Ball' has caused controversy surrounding the young stars video. Miley is seen sitting on a wrecking ball naked with just her Doc Martins on!!!
It's a shame really has I think the song is really good and I loved it as soon as I heard it, but the video takes away from the song and lyrics.
But I can't see what she did in her video is any different than most artists these days. We were shocked by Christina Aguileras 'Dirty' video and Britney Spears rolling around in a fish net stocking suit in her video 'Toxic'. It is just a naked body get over it!!!! She's not 13 anymore she's not Hannah Montana, people grow up and so does her audience.
And of course sex sells at all levels of commercialism, from movies, video games, fashion and yes music. This is what people have made our world today!!!
I don't necessarily agree with it, but shes not harming anyone, maybe seeking attention yes and we are giving it to her. But I still think she's fab.
Rant Over!!!!!!!!!!!

In action: Miley swings on a wrecking ball in her new video shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson

Two Teams One City..... My life this week!!!!

So this evening I thought I would write about what I have been up to in the last week.

As many of you are unaware I'm a big football fan and LOVE going to watch my local football team Bristol Rovers. But last week (September the 4th) something happened that to be honest doesn't happen very often.
Well Bristol has two teams Bristol Rovers (my team) and Bristol City, well they played each other in a cup match and it was a tense, scary, proud and nervous affair.
It's like any local derby there's going to be clashes between the fans, but this was intense, the last time we played each other was 7 years ago!!!!! Feelings and memories were brewing from the our previous match, fans were thirsty for victory and the blood of each other!!! (I'm making this seem like a war, in-fact it pretty much was, war of Bristol).
That whistle blew, we all knew it was going to be the tense and nerve-wrecking 90 minutes and it was!!!! As fans chanted 'Good Night Irene' and bantered with one another in song, I thought for a moment this isn't 'Banter' they mean every single word they are singing. The stadium was louder than anywhere you've been before, Bristol was a quiet city that night, apart from Ashton the home of Bristol City our opponents, our enemies. To cut a long story short, it got violent, the stadium was suppose to be safe, with hundreds of police around the stadium apart from it wasn't. Fans got on the pitch, coins were thrown at us, punches, bottles anything they could get their hands on. Horses stampeded across the pitch to control the mayhem. It got stupid and the violence over shadowed the football!!! Lets hope there isn't another one for 10 years!!

I made it on TV!!!

Apart from the football match I have had a bit of a boring week, I went out on the weekend with some of my girlies, went out had a cheeky few cocktails and a boogie!!!

August Favourites

Hi Guys,
I'm going to do a blog on my fave beauty products throughout August. So here they are;

Rimmel Primer
I bought this Rimmel eye primer, with no expectations and wasn't expecting a lot from it. But the first time I tried it I fell in love and is defiantly a product I have been loving in August!! It claimed to keep your eye-shadow waterproof and intensify the colour of your eye-shadow and it does just that, as well as keeping your eye-shadow in place.

Tangle Teezer
My hair is a pain and especially when I have washed my hair, it constantly feel tangled and knotty, so I bought a Tangle Teezer it was £15.00 for a small plastic sparkly purple brush. But it's incredible. I didn't think I could get so excited over a brush!! I constantly use it now, even just to touch up my hair. Deffo worth a purchase. You won't regret it!!!

Maybeline The Falsies
This mascara has always been a fave of mine, so I've decided to add it into my August favourites. I love how this mascara makes your lashes look so full and amazing!

Real techniques Powder Brush
I've heard many talk about these brushes and noticed Tanya Burr uses them in her YouTube make-up tutorials. So my MAC powder brush was getting old, so I decided to splash out on a Real Techniques Powder brush. It is so much softer and better quality than my MAC brushes, decided i'm going to buy a whole new brush kit.

Knit wear.

The sun is shining but there is this autumn feeling in the air, wind is blowing with a slight chill, so I thought why not check out this season's big winter knits!
I love autumn and winter fashion, even more than spring summer, gives you an excuse to wrap up and layer up!! And bring out the big boots.
So i'm going to show you my favourite knitted jumpers this season.

I Love this zig-zag jumper from Mango. I've only recently re-discovered Mango, I use to buy clothes in their a few years ago, but since buying my graduation dress in there I've fallen back in love with the brand. It's a prefect causal/smart jumper can be worn with white shirt, jeans and some chelsea boots, for a cool and causal look!! This retails in at £34.99, reasonably priced.

Zigzag cotton-blend sweater

I Love this jumper, yes it has fried eggs on it but it's so quirky that I just had to add it into my top 5!!! This quirky little number is from Topshop (Of course). It's sticking to summer colours with this gorgeous baby blue, defiantly going to brighten up your winter mornings. This has been teamed up with a baby pink PVC skirt, which Topshop also currently sell, baby pink is set to be big this autumn. This jumper retails in at £45.00. So cool and cute.

Knitted Quilted Egg Jumper

Carrying the Aztec print trend through to the autumn, is this little number from H&M. H&M do great jumpers and great prices and this one comes in at £24.99. Again chuck it on over a pair of jeans and converse for a causal and effortless look.

I love a band t-shirt or jumper and is a essential piece in my wardrobe when I decide I want to go a bit groupie-ish. I love The Rolling Stones and this one is classic and old school and completely different to the usual slogan you get on the The Rolling Stone merchandise. This jumper is from truffleshuffle.com and retails at the moment for £23.99
