Festival Frolics.....

As the Festival season is well and truly upon us, It's time to start thinking about those festival fashions . As I write this article i'm currently watching the Glastonbury coverage which has put me in the mood for the up and coming festivals.

Denim-
Denim is ALWAYS in style- yet this spring/summer we have seen a surge of cropped denim, the denim jacket is well and truly back and even the ultimate 80's trend of DOUBLE DENIM!!!. whether your rocking denim shorts or the jacket, it's fair to say denim is back and looking fab!!!!

Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller

Prints Galore-
From Aztec to animal- prints are back and have returned in varied ways. Teamed with bright colours, clashing prints is the fashion that everyone is doing, and it looks hot!! So why not get on the print hype yourself!!
Cara Delevinge rocking print at Glasto 2013

Flower Power-
whether its flowers in your hair (seen on Millie Mackintosh from MIC at Glastonbury) or on your dress, the floral print is back and brightening up the British Summer weather!!!

MIC Mille Rocking the floral headband

The Shoe-
Ditch your converse and bring out the wellington boots, Hunter boots are seen to be one of the most popular boot to have at Glasto, and as a Hunter fan myself they are so worth the price tag!!!

New trends-
this year i expect to see a lot of midi skirts during the festival season. The midi skirt has proven to be a big trend this season and is defiantly a trend to keep an eye out for at the festivals.

Motivation needed!!!!!

Recently I've been feeling pretty rubbish, I'm blaming it on the uni blues. I thought after 3 years of hard work I would have a sense of relief but no, I'm bored, unmotivated and negative. My brain needs stimulation (hence why I'm writing this twice a day).
I'm at this age now (22 oh so old!) that the majority of my friends have been in reasonable long term relationships and little old me has decided for the past 2 years to stay single  and basically enjoy my freedom before commitment (who wants a lad during your student years really?!), I believe this is play a part in me feeling mehh!!! My friends are quite lucky and are in their chosen career, or did a uni course which led them into the career, where me I have to graft and work for free to gain experience in Media/Journalism, which leads me to think do I want a relationship or a career?!
Anyway I've always thought of myself as a very independent individual, who doesn't need anyone.
I'm trying to find my Ronnie Wood (A younger version obviously, like in their twenties). I've always had a thing for lads in a band or who are musical. I love the skinny jeans, Converse, Ray Bans and trilby hats!!! But it's impossible to find!!!!!! These types of lads are the complete opposite to me, but I do try and be a bit rock n roll!!!
One day I'll find my rock n roll prince charming

Reminiscing......

This time last year I had just finished my second year at university and en route to Turkey, with my best girl friend Nicci. we've been great friends since the age of 15. We decided to do a last minute holiday and were torn between Turkey and Tunisia, But we were persuaded to go to Turkey.

Me and Nicci <3

We ended up in a four star hotel all inclusive in Gumbet, Turkey. We went there for a relaxing holiday as we had both finished exams etc. Little did we know Gumbet was the hottest clubbing spot for holiday makers, with parties hosted by the 18-30s holiday club. It's fair to say our holiday went from a relaxing holiday, to nursing daily hangovers by the pool everyday. We had the most amazing time, we had a few incidents out there but i'm not going to dwell on them. we meet some amazing people, the scenery was beautiful, Turkey really is a magnificent place it's so picturesque. The weather was unbearable, we went expecting high 30's, the time we went Turkey decided to have a heatwave (typical) and arriving at Bodrum airport at 3am to 35 degrees heat was unbearable, especially when we left Bristol it was tipping down with rain and a four and a half hour flight didn't help either. We were then  woken up by 50 degrees daily, even the staff were complaining!!!!!!!!!!! We did spend the majority of the time under the umbrella or asleep!! (heat made us so sleepy and the hangovers didn't help)
The bar and clubs were so much fun and really cheap, unfortunately they didn't stock Grey Goose of Moet, but we got over that (Just about). We were dancing on the bar, sipping fish bowls of cocktails and even dabbling with the local beer out there (eefes.... i think that's what its called). We managed a boat trip around the coast which was lush, even done a bit of snorkeling, the sea was crystal clear and lovely and cold to jump into. Food wise was difficult as I'm a vegetarian and the Turkish people were shocked that i didn't eat meat, which we found quite funny, Nicci is a meat eater but didn't eat meat the whole holiday as she was worried. We lived off pasta, salads etc.... we had a healthy holiday food wise!!!

Girlie Catch Up....

Just a quick life update....

So I've just come back from lunch with a old work friend of mine. I haven't seen her in a while, and as i'm free at the moment decided to meet up. She loves Frankie & Benny's so we ended up eating there. The food is so good, I especially love the garlic dough balls A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-!!!!! We had a typical girlie catch up, gossiping about lads, life and celebrity gossip. As I was driving and couldn't have a cocktail (Boooo!!) I decided to go for a coke float (basically a coke with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream) OMG it was fab, full of not needed calories though (oops)!!!!

We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time.....

Since turning 22, life is pretty sweet!!!!

I've finished university after 3 hard but amazing years, graduating in 3 weeks and start my new full time job the end of July. Think it's fair to say i'm starting the next chapter in my life, and coming to the end of the last one. Student life is defiantly over (Sobs).
The only down side to being 22 is i'm beginning to feel old. Today I received my first wedding invitation as one of my close friends is getting married, it's crazy. I'm use to going to family weddings, but having one of your friends getting married feels weird, but i'm so excited and seriously cannot wait!!!

Farewell Spa!!!!

Student life; Drinking, Dancing,Music and Friends <3

Life seems to be flashing before my eyes, everything is going so quick, I still can't believe I've finished uni, only feels like yesterday I was starting the first year. Time flies when you're having fun!
Defiantly going to start living life to the full, starting with booking a little holiday to Interlaken with the girls, somewhere we've wanted to go for a while, we've decided our big holiday next year is going to be Marbella or depending on the penny's the Dominican Republic.
Interlaken, Switzerland.

Just keeping dancing like we're 22

Lets talk about lips baby!!!!!

Lets talk about lips.......

So I get asked a lot how I keep my lips looking good , so I've decided to do post on it.
I always tend to go for a bold lip when i do my make up, as my eyes have been described as a almond shape and are quite small  and I literally have no eyelids, so putting a load of eye-shadow on my eyes makes me look really stupid and you can't really see it.
So for my lips,  I love using Lush's lip scrub Bubblegum flavour, this stuff is amazing and a definite must have in your beauty bag and a must have product to include in your everyday beauty regime. I use this everyday it smells and taste delicious (it's edible so you can lick it off after you've scrubbed your lips). I tend to scrub my lips on a evening as part of my facial cleansing routine, after I've exfoliated my lips I then will just put some Vaseline on to keep them moisturized. At the moment there are two lipsticks which i'm loving and wear constantly, for everyday wear i'm in love with Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine in the colour Monte Carlo (62), I love this lipstick it's a hydrating sheer lip-shine and it's so good, it makes your lips look hydrated and juicy. The colour is very light, and gives your lips a lovely pink shine.
My other favourite is the Maybeline Super Stay 14hr lipstick, the colour I have it in is Ravishing Rogue (540) this lipstick I wear out on a Saturday night to complete my look, I love a bold lip and this is perfect. The lipstick is quite matte and leaves my lips quite dry so I always put a bit of Vaseline on before i apply this lipstick. But the colour is amazing! At the end of the night my lips are still looking colourful and not messy!!! Really rate this lipstick.
Leave me a comment, telling me your favourite lipstick/gloss would love to try some new ones out!!!!

Need to buy myself a new one!!

Hurry up summer!!!

Has the summer began??

So today in the West country (United Kingdom) we have had a beautiful day, (just in time for Glastonbury festival). It's finally been nice to put on some denim shorts and a peter pan collared top and sit in the garden with a cold glass of water. I'm making the most of my free time by sitting in the garden with my feet up and reading the latest celebrity gossip, before I start full time employment (Cries).

Let's hope the sun is here to stay, I really despise rainy, cloudy weather!!!!!

I'm feeling 22!!

So it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, i'm now the ripe old age of 22 (sad face). Since hitting 22 I suddenly feel really old and have completely decided against going on any clubbing holidays this year. The whole day I had Taylor Swift's 22 playing and have now decided this is my song until my 23rd Birthday (Much to my friends dismay).
I was such a lucky girl this year, my family spoilt me rotten, my parents gave me money, as they had no idea what to get me (For my 21st they got me a Mulberry handbag), but they surprised me with some new shoes, they got me a gorgeous pair of Dune Loafers which I absolute j'adore and also they bought me a pair of black sparkly pumps from Carvela at Kurt Geiger. My presents mainly consisted of beauty products such as Jo Malone body moisture and perfumes (You must try them they are incredible and so gorgeous smelling), A couple of bottles of Grey Goose Vodka, which is my favourite vodka!! But the best surprise came from my next door neighbour, I've been helping her out recently with a few things and helping her with her new puppy (I'm dog obsessed) so she kindly bought me a Vivenne Westwood bracelet, which is perfect, she knows how much I love Vivenne Westwood.
My beautiful Vivenne Westwood Bracelet!!!

The weekend of my birthday I celebrated with my close friends. We decided to do something a bit different this year and went to a private karaoke bar called Lollipop. Where for once I was allowed to sing as loud as I wanted, with no one telling me to be quiet. We sang Disney songs, old 90's tunes, sloshed down with a few jugs of cocktails and buckets of beer and danced the night away. We have a laugh. The best bit of this night came about an hour into the singing session when my girlfriends decided to produce a birthday card for me, thinking nothing of it, I continued to open the card unaware I was being filmed, inside the card was a white, neatly folded piece of A4 paper, which I opened and read, the girls had only bought me a ticket to go and see One Direction next year (2014)  at Wembley Stadium, made my night. One Direction are not the type of band or music I typically listen to (until they came out after the X Factor), but I have a soft spot for them and love singing along to them. So I now have a weekend in London to book and get excited about with my girls (who also bought tickets). We are going to be the oldest girls there, but who cares.
One Direction!!!!!

My actual birthday I celebrated with my family, we went to Zizzi's as I adore Italian cuisine and it was a perfect way to round off, a perfect birthday weekend.
I feel blessed to have such amazing family and friends around me.
